I was hoping this would be a more literal translation, following the Latin word order more closely.
Provided this reader with a trip back in time as I struggled again with the labrynths of Latin for the native English speaker. But it remains a memorable story once translated and a great poem in its original form.
Very good internal movement of you book mark each section in each part. The English translation is antiquainted. I keep Fagle's translation and a dictionary handy.

I'm not widely read in classical poetry, but the vivid, fiery language of this translation makes an epic read. The Latin sections intrigue me as well, and will be drawing me back to this work again, I'm sure. A wonderful repast for the mind and the soul.
